What Is a Fractional Product Manager?

A good Product Manager is essential for product success. A Product Manager must balance business needs, customer expectations, and technical feasibility. They must also be adaptable, communicative, and empowered to make decisions.

A Product Manager ensures that a product:

  • Meets user needs

  • Meets business objectives, e.g. revenue or ROI

  • Is built within budget

  • Is built on time

A Fractional Product Manager (FPM) is not a full-time employee. An FPM will organize and moderate your staff. An FPM will train their replacement(s) and exit.
